Summary: Little is known about these humanoids, save for the fact that they were, as of 2374, at war with another species known as the Kradin. Though capable of interstellar travel, their weapons technology was ballistics-based, not unlike that of early 21st-century humans - a Vori handheld ballistics weapon is not as powerful or efficient as a phaser or a disruptor, but it is still quite capable of blasting large, messy holes in most unarmored humanoids. Everything else that is known about the Vori stems from their remarkably advanced and effective brainwashing program, which they use on any sapients they can find. The program paints the Vori as a brave, but peaceful people with rather unusual speech patterns (and an enormous array of synonyms and metaphors in their language) and a mildly religious bent. They believe that one must die facedown in order to move on to their afterlife, the "wayafter". The program also portrays the Kradin as vicious, sadistic, genocidal monsters bent on exploiting, enslaving, and exterminating the Vori. After going through the brainwashing, the victim's mind is generally so warped that they will hallucinate their own friends as Kradin "beasts" to be killed at all costs. Fortunately, the brainwashing can be broken if the subject is shown how they were manipulated. Both the Kradin and the Vori have accused one another of numerous wartime atrocities, but the Vori are the only ones known to brainwash unsuspecting aliens and press-gang them into the war.
