And here you are! It has been done, lol. Under the cut because it’s a bit wordy.

Borath Borath cuddles very rarely, but he does lean on you frequently when you're alone. His affection comes in his words. "You look lovely today." "I like the shoes you chose." "Your eyes are gorgeous, have I ever told you that?"

Deyos Deyos doesn't cuddle. Ever. Except when he's had a really bad day but don't you dare tell anyone! He. Does not. Cuddle. His affection comes in the form of gifts. From a necklace with jewels the color of the Dominion emblem, to whatever clothing you'd been staring at in the windows, to extravagant dinners when he has the chance.

Eris Eris adores physical affection, and isn't afraid to show it to you no matter who's looking; pity the poor soul who decides to comment on your relationship. Last time Garak was very upset about his display the last time Eris used her powers to throw them across the room. Eris' affection IS her physical affection. You can even use it to gauge her emotions depending if she's more clingy or distant.

Gelnon Gelnon likes performative affection; he always has an arm around your waist, or holding your hand, or something of the sort around other diplomats, or Vorta, or anyone really. He's always looking for an excuse to silently scream "This one's mine!" To anyone who looks your way. His affection is acts of service. Whatever you want, simply ask him and he'd be more than happy to do it for you.

Keevan Keevan is probably the coldest Vorta, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care; he just doesn't really know how to express his feelings, so he bottles them up until he can figure them out, so they may not be immediately present in the moment. That being said, he doesn't cuddle in public, and he isn't really affectionate behind closed doors; he just doesn't understand or see a reason for it? He'll occasionally oblige you with a nice, long hug just to make you happy because you seem like you need one, or you say you really want one. His affection is shown through the amount of time he spends with you. He's constantly wanting to be in your presence, even if you're not doing anything in particular.

Kilana Kilana is very touch-adverse, she doesn't like feeling trapped or restrained, so she enjoys being on the giving side of any sort of affection, mostly rubbing your arms or back, or linking your arm with hers. Her affection is kind of all over the place; most frequently bouncing between acts of service, gift giving, and words of affirmation. She can't really pick one because she's looking for the "correct answer".

Luaran Luaran is not fond of random touches. They have to have a reason, or a logic behind them, like pulling you closer to her because that person wasn't paying attention and might have bumped into you, or when she takes your hand to lead you through tightly packed spaces. Luaran's affection is shown through her eyes, oddly enough. If you can read her well enough, all the words and emotions are found there. It's all in the way she looks at you.

Weyoun (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) All the Weyouns are just barely different, if you know him well enough you can tell the difference, and the levels of acceptance for physical affection go through odd phases for each one; 4 and 5 highly enjoy cuddling, 6 is more cautious and clingy, 7 is indifferent to affection, and 8 is suspicious about any attempts to get too close, having died many times by this point. One thing remains, and that's Weyoun's affection always being shown through gift giving. If he thinks it's something you'll like he has to get it for you. He'll pout if he gets it wrong, but he won't give up and will just try better next time.

Yelgrun Yelgrun is a grumpy bastard who despises physical affection in all it's forms. He really only tolerates your presence, but that doesn't exactly mean he doesn't like it? He doesn't even know how he feels about it. He's just kind of accepted you're not leaving. He does, however, give you the occasional compliment, which could be his form of affection. Could just be a compliment, though.

ok lets have some vorta ear discourse. Do we believe in attached or detached ear tips?

I'm an attached ear tip guy based solely on the prosthetics they stuck on Jeffrey Combs head. and i sorta like the idea that the hair grows in a pattern of in front and behind and thats why you got that wrap over the ear.

Vorta Voices

I was thinking about how most vorta have perfect voices for ASMR, and then I  realized that was probably 100% intentional on the part of the founders. They literally designed the vorta to be the perfect diplomats: outwardly nonthreatening, clever, immune to poison, etc. Giving them the most relaxing voices imaginable is a great idea.

If you don’t experience ASMR, it’s basically a really nice and relaxing tingling feeling along the head and upper back caused by various sounds, which can include anything from talking to crinkling paper. A 2018 study found that, using fMRI, brain activity while experiencing it looks similar to musical frisson, or musical chills. Have you ever gotten goosebumps/a tingling sensation or shuddered from hearing really good music? That’s musical frisson! I experience both, and they feel really similar to me. The only difference I detect is that musical frisson results in goosebumps, whereas ASMR does not. 

And like I said, at least the way I experience it, vorta have the perfect voices to induce ASMR: their tones are almost always relaxed and reassuring (even when they’re threatening someone lol), their voices, especially Weyoun, sound slightly hushed, and they emphasize certain sounds, like “sh” and “st”. 

 And then there’s times where Weyoun walks over to people specifically to talk directly into their ear

So yeah I think the founders purposefully engineered vorta voices to produce a biological response that relaxes many species. 

After all, it’s hard to catch every duplicitous statement a vorta ambassador might be intimating if their voice is making your brain go “heehoo sleepy time”

Vorta having purple blood would explain the bad eyesight. You know how some albinos have red eyes? It’s because they don’t have a lot of melanin in their retinas, so you can see the capillaries in eyes. And they usually have very bad eyesight because of their albinism. So, in conclusion, every Vorta has ocular albinism. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
