I’m about 75% done with my copy and am LITERALLY on the edge of my seat!!! This series is so incredible and has merged together so freaking much!!! My head is spinning trying to place things from the very first series into this series and I am AMAZED at the way Elise has tied them all together. Honestly, this series in itself is so beautifully crafted and I love everything about it but seeing how everything is coming together I can just tell this is going to be a MASTERPIECE!! Sovereign Sacrifice is book 4 in the Vortex Chronicles series with book 5 set to release January 2020 (hopefully 🤞🏻). I’m not sure how I’m going to wait that long but I will have to make due...probably with a re-read of the ENTIRE Air Awakens and Vortex Chronicles series!! First off just look at this breath taking cover!! 😍😍😍 It is definitely one of my favorites so far in this series and I hear the next cover is even more gorgeous (how is that even possible?!?!). I was so fortunate to receive an eARC of this book and I devoured it!! It’s a long weekend here in the US and I’m so excited!! I leave tomorrow to go back home which is both sad and exciting. I’m definitely not ready to go back to work though! Today is day 11 in the Rage challenge and is all about new characters in a series. One new spin off series that I am loving is Vortex Visions!! I LOVED Elise’s Air Awakens series and this new series is proving no different!! Vi, the main character, is the Princess of Solaris but was raised in another part of the country. Not only is she trying to find out who she is as heir to the empire but also how to control her magical powers that never seem to work the way they should. Book number 4 comes out in October and I am definitely NOT patiently waiting for it to be released!!! “We will write our own fate” - Chosen Champion . . 🌟QOTD: What is your favorite bookstagram prop? . . Happy Saturday everyone!! Obviously my favorite props are flowers but this watch from @faecrate is a close second!! I’m working the next two days but I just had to post my review of Elise Kova’s second book in the Vortex Chronicles, Chosen Champion!! Big thank you to Elise for this ARC!! I finished this bad boy so fast and now I’m ready for book 3...even though book 2 doesn’t come out till May 1st!! I guess I’ll just have to stare at it’s gorgeous cover until then to satisfy me!! My full review is up on the blog but here is a short summary: . ⚡️ Lightspinning is the coolest magic EVER and I love seeing more of it in book 2 .
⚡️ A lot more background information and scene setting but still a fast-paced read .
⚡️ Elise leaves me breathless with all the plot twists and turns and that betrayal...seriously had to remember to breath at points . . I’ve kept my review spoiler free for this book but there are probably spoilers for the first book!! Check out my review of the first book if you haven’t read it yet!! I absolutely love this series and being back in the Air Awakens world!!
