It's a VERY good mail day. Received my ballot. I'll be completing this baby and I'll be dropping it off in my local secure ballot dropoff box tomorrow. Got some other good stuff today, but my ballot is the best. I vote in my grandmother's memory, because there was a time she had no legal rights over her own person. I vote in my Mom's memory, because for the first 30 years of her marriage, my Dad genuinely believed he owned two votes, his and hers. I vote for myself because I love the promise of this country and want to see it reached for everyone, of every gender, every color, every belief system, every age, every country of origin, and every other variation of the human experience. I vote for the future, so all the children of tomorrow know love and safety, good health, the smell of clean air, the taste of good food, the thrill of discovery, and the opportunity to realize their dreams and reach for the stars.
