Vote your own way.
The purpose of this post is I suppose a plea to the British people ahead of the June general election. Please make your vote your own. By that I mean read up on what the candidates plan to do, read their manifestos, their policies, read what they represent and how it would effect you personally and everyone around you if each of the candidates won the election. I cannot stress this next point enough. Please, please do not make your vote based on what the media are saying. Try to see which candidate, through action alone, are actually trying to make everyone’s lives easier rather than making their own life easier. Actions speak louder than words, remember that. Also remember, whoever wins, we are stuck with them for 5 years.
Once a prime minister is decided, we have a responsibility to hold that person to their manifesto pledges. We need to make sure they do what they promised to do while they were campaigning for our vote. No changing the goal posts, no going back on promises once power comes to them.
Above all please think about who you vote for and how they will govern if they become prime minister. Think about how things will be for everyone if they are elected. This decision is not supposed to be based on who is the most popular figure head, this is not X factor. Rather it is a decision based on what they pledge to do to improve the lives of all of us for the next 5 years, that is what you are choosing. Vote your own way.
