Love comes in many forms, and in this case, I love my team;

I’m so proud and blessed to be a part of such an amazing team. Even to this day, it still hits me that I’m on VSU Modern. I remembered watching them perform when I was a freshman and I envied them. I envied how cool they looked. I envied how close they were and how they all were one big family. But, because I decided to step out of my comfort zone and strive for what I’ve always wanted to do, I made it. I’m on the team. I absolutely love the team from the bottom of my heart. We’ve only made it halfway through hell week, but to see how far we’ve come within the last 8 weeks makes me so so so proud of the team. It’s so encouraging to see all of the newbies be so hungry to improve as a dancer and seeing how hard LSHIP works to make this family happen. Today was the absolute best night of hell week. Everyone was so hyped up. The energy was all there. It makes me so happy to see everyone like this and the team so unified. I absolutely cannot wait to perform with everyone. We’ve come so far and worked so hard. Plus, we’ll look so sick in our apparel. I’M SO EXCITED. ONLY 3 MORE DAYS.

Sophomore Year Day Seven:

Today I had my first class as a sophomore. Linguistics is an interesting topic, but a lot to learn. With the quarter system, everything is so fast paced that I cannot slack off starting day one. My mind is a little out of focus, as it has been about four months since my last quarter, and I need to quickly readjust to being back in school.

On another note, I took a two and a half hour hip hop class and it was so much fun! I plan on auditioning for this group (as well as many others). It has been way too long since I've danced.
