Food advertisements often have a subtle, yet potentially far-reaching effect on food related behaviors, of which consumers may not be aware
Vukmirovic
In his literature review, “The Effects of Food Advertising on Food-Related Behaviours and Perceptions in Adults: A Review,” Vukmirovic looks at the transportability of ads. He finds that women are more influenced than men by this phenomenon. Transportability, as he explains, is “the tendency to become immersed in what one is viewing,” and has been shown to be indicative to the potency of effect that a message has on a viewer. Though originally motivated by the rise of obesity and used to search for correlative factors, this review ultimately finds that gender difference in ad immersion impacts food choices.
Great casual summer look! Interesting how an accessory as simple as a necklace could add such individuality to the whole look. Very laid back and very appealing. Well done Vukmirovic!
