Everyone thought Charles would present to be an omega but, surprise, he's an Alpha

actually, Max is the only person who is NOT surprised by this

they reconnect while both on suppressants for school, they're not romantically interested in each other

the whole school is talking about it though; everyone thinks they're dating and people are massively jealous of Max because everyone wants Charles

and they're not dating... they're really not

BUT

And then Max meets Daniel, and it's super obvious to Charles immediately what's going on

but he stays quiet and just lets it happen

because Max and him are not dating

but he also can't stop the jealousy that wells up everytime when he sees Dan and Max together

Max and Michael would be cute together but it wouldn't have any of the fire of Maxiel - I feel like Max wouldn't be able to dominate Michael in the way he likes and they'd both have resentment towards Dan/Charles

oh absolutely! Even in my max/michael AU, Dan and Max end up together... maxiel is inevitable in my house! michael and max are too soft for each other, they need something to counterbalance it.
