October project: Turn oldest OCs/ fan characters into D&D characters. It's amazing how over time, designs and concepts change along with you. Shuabi was the original race for Kanamo. I thought about changing her to a Tabaxi, but I think I'd like to make my own homebrew for the Shuabi.

Shoutout to Chris Zito for his hombrew race, the Vyzorn, which you can purchase on DMs Guild (just realized that I mispelled Vyzorn, woops).

CRINGE ALERT: They ALL started off as Sonic OCs. That's right! I was full of cringe and still am!

Marai and Nazu were generic elf siblings. Nazu is the eldest with anger management issues and a broody demeanor. Marai is the sunshine child who sees the good in people. Making them Vyzorn Half-Mazers was perfect to giving them a better background. Having to face prejudice just for their existence and looks, they've had a difficult childhood. Marai is optimistic and hopeful, while Nazu is pessimistic and a realist. I wasn't sure if making Nazu a ranger, or a Hexblade warlock was better, and then I figured he'd make a good totem barbarian. I figured Marai is good as a bard, rather than a wizard or sorcerer. She wants to bring joy to people, so what better joy than sharing music and song to downtrodden souls?

Kanamo had actually gone through some changes past years, but I never really developed more on her character. I had debated between sorcerer/cleric, monk/wizard, or druid/fighter. I decided to go full druid. Trying to make your characters OP from the beginning isn't the point. In the future, I do want to make homebrew for Kanamo's race, the Shuabi.
