Nico had a bit of a dilemma on her hands.
Maksim wouldn’t tell her who’d shot Aviv, she wasn’t even going to bother asking Aviv himself, and if Tolya found out that Maksim was keeping a secret because he’d gone and done something stupid, well then Tolya could well and truly break the man’s kneecaps. There was also their leader. But Nico wasn’t about to take this to Konstantin, because if Maksim was hiding something stupid, the eldest Vorshevsky would likely do worse than break a kneecap. And in her own way, she didn’t want that for Maksim.

Specifically, she’d broken in through the half open window and proceeded to make herself at home on Misha’s couch, watching an old home movie of his wife and child on the TV. Let him consider the ease with which she’d slipped inside before denying her aid on the matter she’d come to discuss...
“She is hot.” Nico chirped up, as she heard footsteps coming her way, only to stop abruptly before the living room’s entrance. “You never told me that.”
