Makiatto's finger tapped against the tablet rhythmically as she scrolled down, showing you every option she had chosen for a potential shared bed.
You hummed in acknowledgement, leaning closer into her as your eyes struggled to keep themselves open. Though it wasn't boredom causing you to become drowsy, it was simply work.
Granted, said work prevented the Elmo from falling apart at the seams, and given how constantly it needed repairs that statement seemed like it'd become true any day now, it was equally exhausting as coming home from a job in the Green Zone.
Which relatedly, was why Makiatto was even going through furniture listings with you in your dorm room. She had mentioned that she wanted to save up enough to get a home there, with you by her side.
"-...Hey! (Y/N)! Are you listening?"
Makiatto's annoyed tone immediately snapped you out of your thoughts, causing you to turn. She had an adorable pout on her, a sight you had grown used to since the Griffin days. You nodded back, giving her an answer.
"Yeah, we should probably get a darker sheet for the bed. Sorry, I'm listening, promise."
She clicked her tongue in annoyance, putting the tablet down as her arms grabbed and wrapped around yours, something you guessed Makiatto didn't realize was doing.
"Jeez! Are you falling asleep already? Just how many hours did the Commander put you on?!" She tugged on your body, not that you had much reason to pull away from your girlfriend as you put more of your weight into her.
"It wasn't the Commander, I just wanted to make sure the systems were up and running properly...-"
"You can't do that if you pass out! I'm not gonna be there to haul your body to the medbay because you don't know how to take a break!"
Your eyes felt even heavier than before. The feel of the mattress, Makiatto's faint aroma of coffee enveloping you alongside her warmth. You couldn't help but chuckle as you closed your eyes, making your girlfriend blush as your head softly laid on her chest.
"Right..." Though you couldn't see her face, you knew exactly which expression she was making.
"Hey, I-I'm serious, you idiot!"
"I know you are. Just like how you told me you wanted to cook only for yourself and not for me at all.~" You didn't give her a chance to retort as you moved your head to the side of her nick, hearing her artificial breath hitch as you held her, smoothing her throat.
Makiatto shuddered at the sensation, but didn't push you away. Though after a few seconds she relented and melted into your embrace, face presumably burning up all the while.
"But...I wanna take care of you too. You deserve aaaalll the sweets in the world..."
"S-Shut up...Don't tease me.-" Your girlfriend squeaked in surprise as you kissed the underside of her chin, shifting your body to rest side by side with her now, your eyes opening slightly to take in the sight.
Makiatto's beautiful red eyes were open wide in surprise and embarrassment. You brushed her hair away from her face to properly kiss her now, feeling her plush lips mesh with yours, making the tsundere's expression softer than before.
"I mean every word, Maki," Your hand cupped the underside of her cheek, Makiatto lifting her head slightly so she could rest properly against your palm as she hummed at the nickname. She closed her eyes, prompting you to do the same.
"You better keep your word, because I'll remember this..." Gone was the annoyance in her voice from before, replaced entirely with a shaking, and almost vulnerable tone. She shifted in closer, to where her head was now resting underneath your chin as her arms wrapped around your back, down to your waist. "We'll continue this in the morning once you get proper rest, got it?"
A little 'mhm' was your response, kissing the top of her head as your hand brushed her hair. There was no doubt that she could hear how fast your heartbeat was becoming, and yet you felt so calm with her being this close. You knew how much you missed her these past ten years, but it was moments like these that felt like it needed to last forever to make up for it entirely. And with that reminder, you held her tighter, giving her one last answer.
"I waited a decade for you, Maki. If all I need is a few more years to live a quiet life with you, then I'll remember every last word tonight."
"Good." Makiatto smiled before you felt her fall asleep, with you not falling far behind your girlfriend.

You sigh in frustration as you lay the paper down onto the table, making sure not to knock Springfield's coffee and spill it everywhere.
As you leaned back into the chair, an oh so familiar 'Hm?' forces your gaze to shift to the right.
Makiatto raised an eyebrow at the paper before her eyes landed on you.
(Makiatto) "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just that the report I'm reading is confusing me. Makes me wish the Commander or Kalina was here..."
You hear a scoff in response, with Makiatto leaning over to snatch the paper from you, reading it herself.
And only a moment later, Makiatto stands up from her seat to stand closer to you, the paper daintily floating back onto the table as she let go.
And with that tone you've grown to love over the years, she "reluctantly" decides to help you out.
And break it down she did.

(GFL) A Quiet moment with WA2000
WA takes a seat in the booth of Springfield's Cafe. Mercifully, her and S/O were mostly alone, the exception of a few other personnel, Springfield, and G36.
They were sat farthest away from everyone, and before being left alone with their drinks, Springfield gave her friend a thumbs up and a wink.
WA silently mouthed "GO AWAY" as she was blushing madly, grabbing her drink and facing back to S/O.
They were gently smiling at her, the sight of which didn't help her calm down in the slightest.
(S/O) "Feeling alright, WA?"
(WA2000) "D-Don't tease me!"
(S/O) "Hah, but I'm not! It was a genuine question-"
(WA2000) "Yes, yes I'm fine! Now just drink your...Actually, what did you order us?"
(S/O) "I didn't order. Springfield just said I should take her drink recommendations when I came in with you. Whatever it is, it looks good!"
WA took a few moments to identify what exactly the drink was, taking a sip a moment after.
...A macchiato.
(S/O) "Mmm! Tastes good too!"
WA hummed in agreement, the blush on her cheeks slightly dimming, yet her expression grew a little more gentle.
Doubly so upon seeing S/O enjoy their drink, before they turned back to her.
(S/O) "Do you know what it is?"
(WA2000) "Yeah, it's called macchiato."
(S/O) "Hm, wonder why she gave us these specifically."
WA's mouth slightly opened as if it to say, yet shrunk back into her seat, the action not escaping S/O's notice.
(S/O) "...Hey, are you actually okay?"
Hearing the genuine concern in their voice, WA nodded frantically.
(WA2000) "I told you already, it's fine!...It's just that..."
Her hands nervously tapped on the table, double checking that absolutely no one was sitting nearby before she sighed.
(WA2000) "Sit next to me, and I'll tell you."
S/O knew better than to tease her right this moment. For once, instead of being angrily flustered like the tsundere she was, she appeared...vulnerable.
Her eyes weren't meeting theirs, her blush now mostly gone. Even her shoulders slumped a little, awaiting S/O's response.
And to that, they shoved their drink to her side before sitting next to WA, their hand enveloping hers gently.
Before they could ask, WA put a finger to their lips, the affectionate gesture causing a little embarrassment, but she managed to shake it off and lean closer to S/O, speaking barely above a whisper.
Yet S/O could hear it clearly.
(WA2000) "My name."
S/O's eyes widened a little, looking back to their girlfriend.
(S/O) "Huh?"
(WA2000) "My real name...Makiatto."
Her hand squeezed theirs tightly, growing even more quiet than before, waiting for their reaction.
Leading her to squeak in surprise when their hand suddenly snaked around her waist, pulling her even closer and kissing the top of her head.
(S/O) "...I like it. It's sweet, like you.~"
She groaned at the cheesy line, yet the blush only intensified when S/O had her look at them.
Causing her core to momentarily stopped when they heard them continue.
(S/O) "Thank you for telling me your name, Makiatto."
S/O moved close to give her a kiss, causing her body to relax and melt into it, their hands clasping onto each other's again.
When S/O pulled away, they took another sip of their drink, leaning onto Makiatto, with her shyly reciprocating by having her hand on their waist, other hand on the drink.
(Makiatto) "...I've been calling you by yours right? Makes sense for you to know it after all this time..."
(S/O) "...Can I call you Maki?-"
(Makiatto) "DO NOT."
She actually loved the nickname, and when she thought about S/O calling her that in private later that night, her smile was ear to ear.
Welp, congrats! I came here for Genshin, read your stuff, and have now fallen into the rabbit hole of GFL.
On that topic, could I request WA2000 and someone who like each other but are both too tsundere to admit or do anything about it? All the while everyone else has to watch as the two most in denial people of all time dance around each other and refuse to just kiss already damn it!

YES YES ANOTHER ONE TO THE RAIFU CLUB
Both WA and S/O were too proud to admit that they had feelings for each other.
So their exchanges usually sounded like:
(WA2000) "W-What are you staring at me for?!"
(S/O) "You were staring first!"
While both of their faces flared into a crimson hue, much to the annoyance of literally everyone.
WA would be caught dead and dismantled before she would even take the first step.
And S/O could never say that they fell in love with a T-Doll.
Every single one of their exchanges led to them pouting and being "angry" at each other.
And frankly, Springfield had enough of watching WA and S/O go in circles like this in her cafe.
(Springfield) "WA, could I have some help real quick?"
(WA2000) "Huh? Sure, what's up-"
Springfield grabbed WA with a terrifying "smile", with her eyes closed before throwing her into a room with S/O, and locking the door behind her.
(Springfield) "I think you two lovebirds need some time alone!~ I'll be back in the morning, there's two beds in the corner for you two that G36 prepared, good night!"
(WA2000) "WHAT THE HELL?! SPRINGFIELD, OPEN THIS DOOR!"
(S/O) "Ugh, did she get you too by asking for help?"
(WA2000) "What?! Why did she-...Did she call us lovebirds?!"
Both of them remained silent as their eyes widened, realizing the implications.
(S/O) "Psh! A-As if, it's not like we even confessed to each other!"
(WA2000) "Y-You're right, this is dumb! Like I'd ever say anything about falling in love!"
...
Both of them again realized the implications of their words and tried to avert their gaze.
(S/O) "..."
(WA2000) "..."
This was going to be a very awkward night, wasn't it?
It takes a while before WA grows comfortable around her S/O, being able to let her guard down and not be too harsh with her words.
WA definitely doesn't say how she feels often, instead letting her actions speak more. Such as just being around S/O when not on a mission, them being the first person she sees after one, and so on.
In the beginning, she somehow is even more easily flustered around them, and swears up and down how she isn't bothered by them at all.
As time went on, WA softens up, but only when she's alone with them. She doesn't want anyone else to see her romantic side but S/O.
She'll hold onto their arm as her head drops onto their shoulder, not saying anything and enjoying the intimacy.
She freezes up when she feels a hand stroking her head, but she quickly relaxes into it with a sigh.
S/O doesn't need to be told that if anyone knows about this, they're dead.
WA will be extremely flustered when S/O asks for her permission to kiss.
Part of her wants to call them an idiot for being so blunt, but she manages to hold her tongue and averts her gaze.
(WA2000) "...Fine. A quick one."
When she gives a kiss, it's very quick and a little rough, though her lips are softer than one would expect for a T-Doll.
And she can't admit it, but she crumples easily for S/O.
(S/O) "Can I have another?"
(WA2000) "Y-Yeah, sure. Just one more."
Despite what she says, she doesn't fight back at all if there is more than one kiss after that.
