"Oh, yeah? And, what job is that?" he asked her curiously. He smirked a little bit at watched her, cocking his head to the side. He took the phone and nodded. "I would love to," he smiled lightly. He chuckled a little bit and snapped the picture. "You've got me all kinds of intrigued, now. What's this all for?" he asked.

“I’m taking makeup artistry,” she explained, smiling for the picture. “And this is for fun, I like doing slasher makeup, and like horror movie makeup, maybe I’ll do a photoshoot with this look or something like that,” she told him with a grin, the grin looking very out of place with the wound on her face. “But it’s all latex and fake blood,” she assured him. “I made it myself!”

"We can go somewhere a bit more private, this time around," Wade chuckled, grinning a little bit at her. "I mean, I like to get to know a partner a bit for the first time around," he said with a smirk.

“I mean, what do you need to know? My name’s Violet, I’m fine with biting, and I’m obviously not picky,” she shrugged as she smiled at him. “Is that enough or do you want my whole life story?” she teased.

Leslie took a deep breath, wiping at his face. It was pouring out, as only a tropical storm could do. It was still sunny, he had to count his blessings. He ushered Virgil inside and took the towel from Wade, covering the shaggy dog before the collie could shake to try and dry himself off.

“She’s run off before. Not far. But she doesn’t-- She never did this back home. But she had the run of the farm. She hates that flat. And Virgil’s gotten clingy... I’m starting to think this was all a huge mistake.” Leslie couldn’t help but sound bitter. Fed up. It wasn’t just being hot and soaking wet or than he was trying to fight Virgil from ruining this nice man’s place or that Artemis was out there somewhere on the island in the pouring rain, probably terrified once figuring out she was alone. It was everything. Loosing his home, living in an apartment when he had lived his entire life on a farm, his mother’s farm, his farm... Loosing his sheep, his chickens far before he was ready... Loosing the nuns, his friends, because of what he was. There was a reason he hadn’t shared that secret with anyone. Even if it was promised he wouldn’t be punished or persecuted for it.

Wade watched him carefully, smiling lightly, as he got the tour. He couldn’t shake the feeling that he’d interrupted something, but didn’t feel as though it was his place to really ask about it or anything. So, here he was. He shrugged his shoulders. “I try to keep my options open. You’re never too old or too experienced to learn new things,” he said. “The way I see it, it keeps things from getting to mundane around here. 

Alfie nodded when Wade said he liked to keep his options open. “Yeah, I get that,” he agreed. “It’s probably a good way to think about things when you’re immortal or whatever,” he said thoughtfully as they looked around the room. “So what do you think? Interested in booking some art time?” he asked.

“Funny. A couple of vampire talking about mirrors. My point was you have to believe in yourself.” Wat gave a cool shrug and gently nudged Wade’s arm. Yes, he’d been furious at the man for turning Andy, for being reckless with a boy, regardless of Andy having wanted to become a vampire. It hadn’t been his choice, in the end. But that was months ago and Wade had suffered his punishment. Wat had seen to it.

“You’re right to be horrified of it. It is-- we are terrible creatures... But so are big cats, sharks, wolves... We’re predators. It’s simply our nature.”

“Oh, I’m sure you can...” Jody was half joking. Jody lounged on Wade’s couch, maybe a few too many glasses of wine in him, but still fully dressed except for his shoes and socks. He hadn’t come over looking to get intimate but now that Wade was in the mood, it was awfully appealing. He felt comfortable around Wade and was terribly attracted to him. In the wake of his break up with Fawn, it was nice to be wanted like that. And maybe, subconsciously, it was why Jody had come over for dinner and a movie and some wine. Just between friends who had sex a few times and enjoyed one another immensely. Jody had shared a lot with Wade over the years they’d known each other. But he’d failed to mention the break up to much of anyone yet.

Wade came here from time to time.

Every so often, he could compel a nurse or someone to help him out with his need for blood.

He was passing by, when he heard Leib. He paused, taking a few steps back, and stepping into the room. “I wasn’t here to see you,” he admitted. “But, I will happily let you know what the latest gossip is.” He laughed a little bit, and made his way into the room. He grabbed a chair, pulling it up to the bed, and sitting down beside him. He cocked his head to the side, and his eyes glinted just a little bit at him. He chewed on his lower lip just a little bit. “Well,” he said. “Everyone’s freaking out after the storm,” he said. “Dealing with the consequences of all their actions. It’s all rather entertaining, if you ask me.” He grinned a bit.

Leib smiled slightly when Wade walked in and he smiled lightly as Wade admitted that he wasn’t there to see Leib. “Well, I hope whoever you are here to see is okay,” he said as he looked at Wade. When Wade said everyone was still freaking out after the storm he nodded. 

“Ah, yeah,” he nodded. “Well, I imagine a lot of people don’t particularly like who they were during that- I know I had a uh- interesting time during the storm. What about yourself?” he asked as he smiled at Wade.

Dhani was still catching his breath. It was stupid, trying to get back from after curfew and bumping into a guard who obviously wanted to cause some trouble. Wade had saved him from the guard who was just looking for someone to punish, even if Dhani had it coming for being out after curfew.
