Started a Stargate: Atlantis x Top Gun crossover where after Maverick pulls Bradley's papers, he does an Aerospace Engineering and Maths double degree, and one of his teachers in his first year absolutely HATED his guts after he politely corrected a formula during a lecture because the guy's an asshole, so he writes a paper as an extra-curricular and publishes it so the guy can't fail him without having to explain it.
The paper gets sniffed out by the SGC and he gets recruited at the ripe age of 19. He does some amazing work that makes him incredibly valuable, THEN they discover he's got a super strong expression of the ATA gene. He volunteers for the Atlantis Expedition because it makes sense—he has no family, so why not volunteer for a one way trip to another galaxy?
Atlantis loses contact with Earth, and the war with the Ori heats up. A prototype weapon Bradley was working on ends up being the key to winning. Except he only made one, and none of the other scientists can reverse engineer it.
Ice becomes COMPACFLT partially because his son disappeared a few months ago, and even as an Admiral, he kept being blocked from his files.
He finds out he's not the only one looking for his son. That somewhere along the way Bradley became the kind of person who can save the world.
They need people who will go to the Pegasus galaxy to search for the missing Atlantis Expedition. Iceman needs a way to tell his husband about their kid.
Enter The Dagger Project. An elite team that has the Navy's best, tasked with bringing the Atlantis Expedition safely home—specifically USAF First Lieutenant Bradley Peter Bradshaw.
