He’s the head of this tribe, but king of passive aggression.
Check out all the memories of life at the mall in the 90′s. This was pure delight and i wish i could go back in time and capture those moments all over again.
The fantasy aisle in Waldenbooks, early '80s. Note the "Gor" novels by John Norman, which remain pretty touchy subjects.
#ww84 - 10/10 for the nostalgia of seeing #waldenbooks in a mall again. And yes, we really did look that silly in 1984. #1980srefugee #wonderwomanismyqueen #wonderwoman #badhairhasalwaysbeenwithus https://www.instagram.com/p/CJPn2lvlxNM/?igshid=1cxt037i2n3r8
Post going around about bookstores, monopolies and nostalgia
And I haven’t thought about Waldenbooks in a long damn time but
There was a large period of my childhood/young adulthood where after I lost interest in toys and before I developed any interest in clothes (in high school and only grudgingly so I could fit in better) where my number 1 request for Christmas was money for books and so I would end up with usually no less than $100 in gift certificates to Waldenbooks from various family members, and I think one time even peaked around $225.
Which always spurred a post-Christmas, pre-New Year’s sojourn to the mall where it took a very long time to browse, collect all the books I wanted, do the math on the post holiday sale prices, and figure out just how many I could get with my riches.
