Younger Zed's dream.
Darkness. Unable to tell if his eyes were open or closed, he tried to wave his hand in front of his face only to feel his limbs were weighted with lead. Shuddered breaths echoed throughout the shadows, but he knew, he knew where he was. A hundred times he had been here; one-hundred times he had been swallowed by the inky black darkness that had begun to swim and danced upon the corners of his consciousness, tugging at the suppressed inhuman cruel thoughts that came with such a dark power.
The dream was always the same, his eyes would open to find himself floating in a void of shadows, and things lingered just outside of his vision. It was always the same, muscles heavy and hard to move. Fear coiled around his heart like a snake, constricting, crushing him. He feared the dark; he feared what crawled where he could not see. There was a presence beyond the veil of darkness, it called to him. Yet the snake around his heart crushed him from the inside, its fangs sinking deep with its paralytic venom. Sensing his weakness this inability to move, the darkness would tear him limb from limb to consume him. His want for control not yet strong enough.
