TAB Miami Trip Day 2...The Evening - Partying VIP Style across Miami
So my Friday night consisted of some serious club hopping. And although I'm normally not a fan of club hopping when I'm home in NYC, I feel like I can make exceptions when I'm on vacation!
Our first stop was at Gulf Stream Casino to stop by Martini Bar (first 3 images above) to visit some friends who were spinning there (the perks of being a DJ wife). Maybe you knew there was a casino in Miami, but true story - I didn't know! Gulf Stream Casino is about 30 minutes north of South Beach...so yeah you need a car to get there! But the drive is well worth it. This little casino and horse racing grounds also houses a complete entertainment, nightlife and of course casino complex. One of the popular nightlife spaces at Gulf Stream is Martini Bar, a multi room space that's great for taking a break from the casino during the afternoons or definitely to party the night away. I actually had a great time here. Although I don't normally care about things like VIP, the VIP space here was spacious compared to NYC where VIP equals a barely walkable platform with tables and couches that take up more space than you have dance floor. Bonus, there's a hotel at Gulf Stream. So if you like the idea of a girl's (or boy's weekend), and don't necessarily want the madness of South Beach, this is a great option.
After a couple of hours at Martini Bar, we went back to South Beach to go to Wall Miami Beach where yet another friend of a friend was DJing. Wall is part of the W Hotel, so if you're looking for that quintessential South Beach feel, this is the place. Bottle service, laser light shows and the SoBe party goer types abound. But, if you time it right, Wall attracts major artists and DJs...which can be a great experience for you and your crew! I spent the remaining hour or so of the night with the hubby and friends in the DJ booth enjoying bottle service...so no complaints there!
And if you really want to rage and party until the sun comes up, we rounded off the night with after hours at E11even Miami - which is in fact a 24 hour club. And it should come as no surprise that yet again, another friend was DJing here! This club can best be described as interesting, but depending on what you're into, this can really be the spot for you and your team (whether bachelor or bachelorette). E11even (in my opinion) can honestly be described as a club that also wants to be a gentleman's club, yet dabbles more on the traditional club with dancers (fully clothed) side than topless dancers. Truthfully, by now I was so tired, that I didn't enjoy this space as much as I would have if it wasn't 5AM in the morning. But I think the concept is pretty awesome and whenever I head back to Miami, I definitely want to start the night here instead of end it.
