Please list all of your band members and their roles in the band. Josh Tassinari - Guitar Bradlee Meredith - Vocals Jordan Huckabaa - Drums Cale Horton - Guitar Dalton Farr - Bass

What’s your hometown (or what are your hometowns)? Oklahoma City.

How did the band come together? How long has it been? The band formed after the break up of a few popular Oklahoma City bands ranging in genre. We have only been around for roughly eight months. 

How have you grown since you started? During the duration of the band thus far, we have grown in mostly a sonic fashion, meaning that our temperaments towards experimentation and pushing ourselves to encompass the widest range of our influences musically and our non-musical influences.

What sets you apart from other bands? Our work ethic is definitely something that makes us different. Thus far, any task we have set our minds to we have exceeded our own expectations. Also, our tolerance for all things party.

What’s the best part about being in your band? The open platform for expression. We all decided that we should never limit each other’s musical stylings and the musings that flow from them.

More times than not, influences tend to bleed through. What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making? As Cities Burn, Glassjaw, Envy on the Coast, Armor For Sleep, The Junior Varsity, Deftones, Days Away, Circa Survive, Dear and the Headlights, Sparta, Thrice, and The Receiving End of Sirens.

What would you say the band has already accomplished and what do you have your eyes set on next? We put out a great album in under a year and have already begun touring the midwest, those are huge things to us. Next we hope to continue touring the United States and hopefully give everyone even more music to vibe out to.

Thus far, what’s a favorite memory or something quirky that’s taken place with the band (in-studio, onstage, or elsewhere)? Recently while on the road, Bradlee was picked up on the shoulders of a member of the crowd and sang most of our set from the grown man’s back. Pretty wicked/sweaty biz.

Is there anything in particular that you’d like people to take away from listening to your music? All of the songs from oneironaut are about certain dreams, so maybe have everyone have a sense of dreaminess in their lives, take a second to ponder the impossible while enjoying life as much as possible.

If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be? More direct outlets to fans, ways musicians can actually connect and engage our audiences instead of just being a post on an endless news feed of cat videos (which rule) and hilarious memes. 

How did your band’s name come about? Wallclouds are typically beneath the rain-free base portion of a thunderstorm; and indicate the area of the strongest updraft within a storm. Rotating wallclouds are an indication of a mesocyclone in a thunderstorm; most strong tornadoes form from these. Growing up in tornado alley, we have all been affected by tornados in one way or another, we chose the name because of the insane beauty and power that accompanies strong storms and tornadoes. 

What’s the biggest mistake someone’s made while playing? Bradlee bashed his face in with a microphone while in a moment of passion on stage and caused himself bodily harm and disfigurement for a few days on the road.

Any pre-performance rituals? We do a small bit of herbal refreshments and meditation before every performance. We also stretch out as a group. It looks like a bunch of dads trying yoga for the first time.
