5 easy wallpaper Tips & Tricks
1. Order all not one by one
In once, you need to order all the wallpaper that you want to avoid any mistaken issues during the orders. Make sure to double check the lot numbers to ensure it comes from the same run. It is because different runs can have different colors and afraid it might not match for each one and will look unsightly on your walls.
2. Be friend with Lining Paper
Before hanging your wallpapers, consider hanging a medium weight lining paper on the wall because it will prevent the wallpaper from cease or stretch and help paste to dry faster. It will be good for the beginner like you.
3. Get the Tools!
You need to get all of the tools before you start. These are a seam roller, wallpaper smoother or brush, a few push pins, steel tape measure, scissors, a long tray filled two-thirds full with lukewarm water, a wet sponge, a bucket of water, a broad putty knife or a wallpaper glue and a utility knife.
4. Choose Plastic not Newspaper
Don’t use newspaper to cover your pasting table. The ink from the wet newspaper could stain the wallpaper and make it unusable. Cover the table with a plastic tablecloth or drop cloth instead. It is more important when you use 3d brick wallpaper
5. Take an extra care when Trim!
When trimming keep a broad putty knife between the wallpaper and the blade to make sure a straight cut and protect the paper. Do not ever lift the knife blade until you are done with the cut.
You can use the back of a scissors blade to mark the angles on the wall covering and pull the paper away from the wall and trim it along the marked line and only attempt this if you can cut a straight line.
