As she said, "Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt." Traveling has humbled her and has broadened her perspective in so many ways. Traveling to places like this and other impoverished areas has given her a sense of gratefulness for the modern day comforts that she is able to enjoy. The Augstmatthorn is a mountain of the Emmental Alps, overlooking Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland. The largely forested land from the top of the mountain southwards to the lake has been identified by BirdLife International as a 15,900 ha Important Bird Area. The high altitude started to make itself felt and so she took it nice and steady, electing to enjoy the walk rather than push on and try to achieve the summit in the suggested time. Cresting the ridge, a little way short of the summit, she got the first sight of the vast, turquoise expanse of Lake Brienz far below, and of the larger mountains of the Jungfrau Region. Let's meet one of our Wanderlust Heroes, Marina. She has been traveling to many outstanding places in Europe that blows our mind, just like when she went to Chernobyl-Ukraine and spent the day there, one of the most isolated places on earth as it's affected by huge radioactive. This year is made out of the most amazing journey that she has ever done in her life. That's why after spending the days in Bulgaria, she left the hustle and bustle of the city and headed to this amazing natural ensemble of Plitvice National park. Plitvice Lakes is considered one of the most beautiful national parks in the world. Plitvice Lakes make wonderful blend of oak forest, meadows, rocks, and lakes. You can explore them by walking along the lakes, by electric train or electric boat. Each turn reveals sights even better than the last. Clear water teeming with small fish and even a small snake. This place is a delight which keeps on revealing something better around next bend. Wow, simply wow! This is one of the most beautiful places she has ever seen! This is were you really disconnect and become amazed of how superb nature is. As a traveler, she tried her hardest to describe places and destinations. However, there are just some things and experiences that are too beautiful to put down in words. The Yosemite Valley, the handiwork of many many years, is beyond the ability of a camera or words to capture it's grandeur and beauty. The massive granite formations and sculptures that line the valley and give it the magnificent impact a bone of the heart and soul of the viewer can only be described as awesome! If you have the ability to be overwhelmed by beauty, get ready for when you reach a place you can absorb the appearance of this Valley. This is a real nature miracle, a must see for all nature lovers and not only. Moreover, given the organization of the park, this place is accesible for everybody with a car. Hi y'all! Let's meet Gonçalo, our #WanderlustHero who is well-known as "The Travel Guy". His knowledge and experience in budget traveling have made him become the master of saving money for traveling the world. He created a website www.thetraveltool.com where he wrote so many things about how to travel the world in with less money, but you still can get the best thing in your life. In one of his journey in Cambodia, he got lost unexpectedly. He spent most of the day driving searching for the way that he wanted to go, but he couldn't make it. If to be honest, he could be stressed and frustrated at that moment, because he didn't see one attraction on one island during a journey around the world. Until suddenly he met a Cambodian family who lives with 25$/month. Yes, only 25$! It makes him realize that he can never ever complain again. If you love mountains and natures. Jiufen is just the place you can plan to stay for a long time. It features old streets with cultural feel and surrounded by mountains with historical trail. The village clings to the edge of the hills, and cascades down the slopes. This is a must visit when you get to visit Taiwan. We can walk at our leisure, to window shop, taste the samples, and eat as you walk. Because it is in the hill or mountain top/side, there are some places further inside that offer homestays. Although it's always crowded during the day and night, it's still highly recommended for anyone who would like to seek the good old days of the gold mining town plus a lot of childhood memories. You can come in any time, just like she said, "Who is going to have a day off tomorrow? I am not. But I'm already on vacation mode." Sometimes you just need to move from your comfort zone to get the best thing in your life, and that's what our #WanderlustHero did here. She had such a great experience at the epic 'Mars-looked' desert, just like what we saw in The Martian movie. Wadi Rum is extraordinary, a wonderful place to forget about time and to marvel at how small we are. The dessert landscape is vast and there are beautiful rock formation and mountains and you never get tired of watching them all day long as each spot is unique. The way the mountains have formed is amazing, and we'd strongly recommend finding one of the camps with a decent west-facing view for sunset. Try to have your trip during a time where it is "moon-less" this way you can see more stars with the naked eye.. Beautiful serene calming experience!
