I've been wanting to portray this mental image for so long, and I am still SO proud of how this turned out. This is a concept I've had in mind since the first bits and bobs of information about JD2024's story mode were leaked (I even posted about it back then), and even now with the fate of the story mode uncertain, I still have faith it will happen eventually, playing into the theory proposed by Ubisoft Latin America that Wanderlust and Sara are the present-day reincarnations of Siegfried and Odette, whose souls have carried that same karmic connection with each new incarnation, and are meant to fulfill the vow of undying love that was once broken when Siegfried was tricked by Odile. As I pointed out here, I fully believe Sara is the Odette to Leda's Odile, and just as Leda represents night and the darkness, Sara would represent daylight, sunshine, joy and hope, so it always made sense to me that Golden Hour could be used as a "love confession" song from Wanderlust's POV. I mean... "Pink and orange skies" (the bursts of pink and orange magic that come from them during Can't Stop the Feeling), "she's got glitter for skin" (Sara's freckles), "my radiant beam in the night"... I honestly don't see how Just Dance could use it in any other way.

My main inspiration for this was one of the last scenes of the Princess Tutu finale, when Mytho/Siegfried decides to take Rue back into the storybook world with him as his bride. I decided to make the background simpler and more abstract for a change, so I decided to take some inspiration from their "true love's kiss" moment (which is also part of where I got the idea for Sara's "princess" costume), and the fact that I chose to really tie it into Golden Hour by having the whole piece be tinted gold also came out kind of resembling the Sun song from Thumbelina, which actually worked quite nicely as I've felt for a long time that Thumbelina and Cornelius are tremendously WanderSara-coded.
