Life seemed to get pretty simple when it is broken down and tackled in steps because everything serves a purpose. Electrons are attracted to protons because of their electrical charge. Moths fly into flames because their orientation depends on it. Why Leon was spending his entire afternoon waiting anxiously on the couch for his boyfriend to walk through the door, that had it's own reasoning too. He'd told Tidus to go out and pick up some groceries, something he'd usually do but had lied and said he wasn't feeling well enough to make it there himself. It had taken long enough but as soon as he heard the doorknob turning, he stood up and walked over to stand by the door frame, counting the seconds until finally he was greeted with a confused, but nevertheless happy, smile. Two steps and he had the blonde in his arms, holding him close and placing a light kiss on his forehead.

"Hey." The greeting was so casual, nothing like how he felt but he took the bags the other was holding and set them down on the floor anyway.

"I'm not actually feeling sick, you've probably realized." He admitted, shrugging a bit before taking his boyfriend by the hand.

"I'm going to need you to close your eyes now."
