Marion Cotillard, Lady Gaga... all proved that you can talk/praise about your co-star without reference of how "huuuugeee, massiveee" he is.

In hindsight it makes you realize that, that actress's massive ego and inflated self image didn't came out of a vacuum. Only a person who thinks no one is ever good as her in their job would have so much complex complimenting someone else's work ethic and instead focus on making him backhandedly look bad ( and covering with how "good" and strong he looks) .

I remember some bloggers back in the day say it also felt like she had a crush on him too but I do not know how that can be and still act they way she did.

I am not well versed in the J/KR discourse because frankly I do not care that much but from afar and not trying to excuse her or anything, I also have the impression that her T/ERF speaches have been reinforced after the whole tweeter mobilisation, you know? Just like when you corner someone and they have no choice but to reinforce in their point of view because it's too late.

Oh that is not the case here, Twitter mobilization came after she basically proved to people she consults and takes her rhetoric from radical Ter/fs in the UK , something a lot of people have been suspecting of based on her likes and retweet trajectory for one thing and further reblogging and blasting their writing on her own platform.

Did getting cornered and treated rudely by the twitter mob even before the debacle helped in her radicalization? Yes. But did it help after as well? Also yes. So its not as easy as saying its all in fault of the mob who pushed her in wrong hands. She was being pushed and she was walking in the direction even before it all fell out the year before last.

The plain fact is that the amount of firsthand reports from people at his panel in vegas that reported that they were extremely uncomfortable and ....basically appalled, were plentiful, and we shouldn't discount them.
