This man does not understand fandom. Canon (which is laughable in the Star Wars universe, let’s be honest) is the play equipment in the sandbox that is fan creation. Maybe I play with all of it, maybe I’m just on the swings all day, or maybe I come in with a sledgehammer and a drill to deconstruct it and reimagine it.

For all his and the general media’s whinging about the opinions of fanfic writers, this man truly sounds like a fan desperately trying to get people to write about his favorite ship that’s only got a handful of fics on AO3.
