Man, I love a good, long recovery fic, but I’m also fragile as hell right now and I’m curious to know how... detailed... the information that comes out during TINSOB is about the abuse that Bucky survives. Like, is it discussions, or watching the past through flashbacks? Thanks for being willing to answer questions about this, it sounds beautiful.

It’s like halfway between those, probably? There are some descriptions, but not, like, extended narrative flashbacks (although he does have the occasional horrific nightmare which goes on a bit longer) (uh, okay, and also Chapter 7 is... not a great day for Sergeant Barnes), but for the most part it’s relatively brief but sometimes very vivid flashes of things that have happened, scattered in among the relatively mundane work of Getting Better. So, uh, I don’t know that I would want to read it on a really bad day, just because it tends to come a bit out of nowhere when stuff pops up for Bucky? But you’re your own best judge there.
