Another not Tumblr commission, and I have no idea about the character or the game. Oh how can we tag this-
And oh. Commission info is HERE
no poking 🙅♂️
I currently play a game, named "Punishing: Gray Raven".
The game takes place in a distant future, where world is overtaken by a cybernetic pathogen, named Punishing virus. It destorys human cells, and infects machine's logical circuits, making them Corrupted, hostile towards mankind. Remains of humanity escaped to a space station Babylonia, and started a war against virus and corrupted, to retake Earth.
There's interludes for every playable character, and this one is for Astral Watanabe. This story had really touched me. It's about a famous pilot, captain Cyril, also known in the game as "Beak of Islay". He, and younger pilot, Watanabe, are about to escort a space ship "Halcion 2" in a retreat mission "Arcadia", which seem to deliever critical supply to a space station. But Cyril informs Watanabe, that it is actually about saving VIP's (politicans) and their wealth, while ordinary people and soldiers are left behind. One of those soldiers were Cyril's son Bruce, who died, while fighting with Corrupted machines to save people, stuck in church of a small village. Cyril only learned about it after 3 months, and there wasn't even a proper obituary. His wife died earlier from Punishing virus. After losing those people dear to him, Cyril says bittelry: "Look at me, Captain, "Beak of Islay", what a fancy name! But i couldn't even protect my own family".
He attempted to rebel against the unfair Babylonia ways, but was stoped by Watanabe, who shoot at his plane. Ignroing Wata's scream to eject, Cyril tells him to believe what he wants to believe, and never back down, and hen crashed, after saying, that he can't forgive himself.
Later, after completing his mission, Watanabe defected from Babylonia. It's president Hassen seems to have no compassion towards fallen captain. But what makes me mad, is that later Babylonia gets Forsaken to cooperate against the international space station, corrupted by the virus in exchange of some tech. I consider this ab awful plot twist, but sadly, other players refuse to understand it. In the game, it seems like no side is good, what i consider wrong. Babylonia, however, is the evilest, and I'm afraid, that it might propagate wrong values.
In the meantime, Cyril inspired me to play fighter jet simulators, so I've installed one on my smartphone. Apparently, he was inspired by the game, named "Ace combat", and an airplane from that game, "Fenrir", was mentioned by President Hassen, as the one Cyril drives.
Maybe i should write a fanfic on Cyril.
Stay with him longer 😤😠😡
Watanabe Appreciation Post.
Watanabe Nightblade's Ult has me thinking of giving Watanabe the Best Boy crown. Or at least having Kamui share it with him. Because if you don't think that's sexy, and you have the nerve to be playing Punishing Gray Raven, you're playing it wrong.
I mean, I want to hear the game in its native language, but you can't deny how sexy Nightblade's Ult is in Japanese.
Not only that, but my Watanabe's been kicking some pretty mean ass lately. I can't invest a single cent into my Nightblade, so he doesn't even have a fancy weapon, but he'd give your team a run for their money. He's been participating in the new Black Flash challenges and has been one hell of a bad ass.
Plus, @asoundofdrop informed me of an incredibly important Google Doc-one containing the Constructs' secrets and profile information. Watanabe's profiles clued me in on a few things:
- He really would make one hell of a dad.
- He would make one hell of a friend to Kamui (or boyfriend, depending on shipping preferences lol.)
- He spends all day frowning but really is an incredibly kind, dutiful and devoted individual.
- I mean he taught himself how to cook. He sees Liv as a daughter and regards the Forsaken as his family. There was even a line in one of his profiles about him performing for the Forsaken, just to entertain them.
Well. Kamui may have Best Boy crown, but I think Watanabe deserves Best Man.
If I wasn't saving up 2500 BCs for Chrome, I would have already recruited Astral Watanabe.
Aha ha, I’ve been drawing too much PGR men as of late. Here’s a doodle of Nabe. ^-^
Excuse me???? I really went 😳 when I saw this.
Who thought this was a good idea? He even has the v line???
PGR really wants me to die of thirst.
