Enchanted Spring

Peace and hope fills the air

So long as the water is undisturbed.

Serenity permeates as you stand

But be careful how your footsteps land.

This spring is a blessing for generations

But water never comes for those wanting rations,

The water flows to feed a stream

Anyone else may merely dream,

For if you take straight from the source

Your days shall be plagued with remorse.

Further along are villages and towns,

Odd strangers living among fields and more,

Those are who the water is for.

Their buckets filled with peace and hope,

Yet Taken too soon sours the fair,

Twists the hope into a stranglehold,

No matter the hazards you stay forever bold,

No matter the urgency you take your time,

And death shall soon follow upon a dime.

So rest and relax beside the spring

But be careful the marks and avoid its water

For that serenity lives within its ring.
