Wax and Lassie in the end of the second book of Mistborn Era 2, damn this scene really got my heart, and the image that came into my head was the saddest thing, that reminded me of the piece “Ivan the Teribble and His Son”, and so I used it as reference.

The last part of the epilogue of Wax and Steris is a scene that is also very touching and I want to do a piece from that part...

So I’m in the process of rereading mistborn era 2. I have memories of this being some of the best cosmere writing yet.

In retrospect, it’s kind of disturbing. The fights, magic system, everything is so excellent. The overtly pro-establishment main character doesn’t age as well.

Wax literally breaks a strike protest in the second book saying “they have a right to their grievances but they aren’t allowed to block roadways.” Brandon my buddy my pal my oldest friend how do you think protests work?

I knew his sister was full of shit. I immediately did not like her ass.

Also I had to stop reading last night because my bf needed to go to bed and it was right after Wax died! Now I am 99% sure Wax is in fact not actually dead or will be brought back by the Bands of Mourning because he's the main fucking character and there is a whole another book left in this series but also this is Brandon Sanderson and I can't help but have some Kelsier PTSD.

I got a few things to do today before I continue reading but I should have this one finished and on to The Lost Metal by the end of the day.

Also I really like Allik but I'm trying not to get attached because I will be surprised if he makes it out of this book alive.
