Delilah has been fiddling with the device she woke up with on and off. It’s peculiar, but she thinks she’s been getting the hang of it. She’s found the contacts, apparently a list of individuals that one can send a kind of letter to or call.
She doesn’t recognize most of the names as she idly scrolls, wandering down the streets of Crises--back towards the Palilicium--as she does. She’s figured out multitasking in such a way too. But she comes to a halt at one name. She feels a sneer tug at her lips, a burn of deep hatred. Daud. Killer of the Empress, marked by the Outsider, the pathetic bastard who trapped her--
Calm now, Delilah. Where is that function for letter writing? She starts to walk again. Faster, more intently, eyes fixed on her phone.
TO: Daud FROM: Delilah Copperspoon
[msg] Daud. So terribly bold of you to have your name out there in this peculiar device. I suppose you thought you were safe? You were wrong. [msg] I will burn you, Daud. I will sink my hands into your ribs and tear out your heart. [msg] I will grow thorny vines within you and watch them tear you apart from the inside. [msg] Yhf
Her shoulder smacks into someone else’s and her finger slips. As she stumbles, she whirls on the new target of her wrath. “Watch--” And then she lays eyes on him. Daud. She stares at him for a moment, phone clutched tight in her hand. The next word comes out more in a snarl than anything else.
“You.”
