almost felt like reviving an old classic out of sheer respect for charles deciding to be open about his cancer diagnosis
not only is that a surprisingly bold decision for a member of the brf (let alone the actual monarch) – a family that has a deep-rooted obsession with appearing almost sacrosanct – but i also think it's gonna make a huge difference both in terms of spreading awareness and imploring people to get their health checked regularly but also in terms of charles being a role model. in my state of panic, when the big c first hit my family, i found a lot of solace in relating to other people's experiences and i don't doubt people will do the same with charles
(goes without saying that i'm not saying this to dunk on anyone who prefers not to share and have randos all up their personal health business because i fully understand that and support that)
