The longer this isolation lasts the more I realize how very much I miss about every day life and the conveniences we take for granted. I mean I understood before that despite my financial situation there was privilege inherent in where I lived due to such wide diversity. But I've never really FELT it so strongly as now. Where I am missing things about my city with a sort of homesickness that's entirely ironic given I choose not to indulge in them on a daily basis. There's a serious difference, however, between choosing and having no choice.

And I am learning I may never feel as at home as I do right here. Insane prices, overcrowding and all.

17. what is something you own that is important to you? what makes it so important?one of the most important things to me is this old rubber bracelet that i’ve had since 2010. it was given to me by my 3 year old cousin shortly before he passed away and i’ve kept it ever since

28. name a book you don’t mind reading over and over? it’s been a while since i read it, but i definitely don’t mind re-reading the devouring trilogy by simon holt! they’ve got such a good plot that continues throughout the three books and it’s super interesting and really well written
