Hi, so I’m currently binging We Remain and it’s just chef’s kiss! I was just wondering, is imprinting also a thing in TVD?

No, Imprinting is not a thing in TVD! It's not even really imprinting in WR, that's just the only word I could come up with at the time (I know it has a weird connotation because of Twilight, but it's not the same I swear) and I will probably change it when I do my rewrites. It's supposed to be a soul bond thing, and I actually have big plans for it (there was one other time it could have happened in canon, and almost did, and when Elijah finds out, he is... unwell).

TVD doesn't really get into soul bonds or mates or... even really bonds in general? They tried with the sire bond but that's obviously problematic lol
