You own the computer and the apps, but about every two years, your hardware becomes obsolete, forcing you to purchase an entirely new computer. You own everything, but it constantly has to be replaced to keep up with the cycle.
Wrong. I’m still using Word 2003 on an 8-year-old Panasonic Toughbook Y5 and with this setup I’m way more productive than I am using ribbon-based Word 2010 on my work PC. I also don’t have to pay yet another monthly bill – it’s as if you don’t have enough bills to worry about already. All my critical data is automatically backed up by Dropbox and an external HDD. In any case, I wish Solu the best of luck, because they will definitely need it.
