I once recreated a 500 year old metal African bead that was hollow and had cut outs all the way through. I guess I could say it’s therapeutic, aligning with the metal that is older than everything I touch and see on a daily basis. With the exception of the earth. The data withheld inside the metal almost unlocks itself even though you are working with new metal you are asking the old metal to be your guide, your map, your instructor… • • I’m so obsessed with this lil bird and her lil Birdling children.
