day 7: fav power ghouls design!!

wyndowna already has a fantastic design, and i like spiderman so weberella was a pretty easy pick for me :)! this was a bit tricky for me to draw.

Been wanting to redo my Power Ghouls movie posters since I got my new camera, so I figured hey! Great time for it! And while I still don’t have Voltageous or Mrs. Deadfast, I decided I should grab my Catastrophe mask and add her.

Which of course meant I couldn’t find the mask.

So I ordered a new one.

Which meant I found the one I already had about five seconds later.

SO! Armed with two masks, I made Catastrophe a couple of OC Minions.

Printed out as wallet sized photos, these make perfect movie posters for your ghouls and mansters!

Note: Tumblr blows them up a bit, so their slightly blurry. This should not be a problem with printing.

So, kind of crossing interests here, but it is photography, so. In the process of revamping a very pink, very gaudy coffin shaped MH doll house and it occurred to me that wallet sized photos would be the perfect scale for movie/concert posters! Double sided tape on the back would let you change them, and since they come four to a sheet, you’d have backups if one died.

Clearly, I had to play. These are what I have so far. I don’t have a full set of the Power Ghouls, but I do have Catastrophe’s mask...somewhere...so I’ll eventually have one of her. And I might make up some more, OC ‘super heroes and villains’. And once I do a lot of customizing...and some sewing...and maybe just find a place to buy dress shirts for these guys because I’m just not that great at sewing, there will be Scary Rotter posters.

In the meantime, these are available for non-commercial use.

(Is it sad that the Twihard one is my favorite?)

AW, YEAH POWER GHOULS

At the end of it all, I basically bought an entire case of each Power Ghouls wave. I snagged them all for myself at full price because I'm THE BEST at waiting for dolls. Then around Christmas, they all went on sale for like $8. So my beautiful fiance trinketsandtangles ended up with an entire set. My baby sisters have a set or so between them. Then phaedract got a Cat Tastrophe because she is so Julie Newmar Catwoman.

Let's also take a moment to talk about Wydowna's diary. It's all about how she's waiting to get into Monster High because they have a long wait list, probably because Frankie WILL. NOT. STOP. bringing home strays and being all, "OH YEAH YOU CAN TOTALLY COME BE AT OUR FREE LOVE EQUAL REPRESENTATION HIGH SCHOOL," and Bloodgood honors it for some reason since these kids fly in from like China and Farmville to go to school in Salem, Oregon or Cat From Sabrina, Organ or where the school is. Maybe Bloodgood keeps letting Frankie skip school to go on these magical, world-crossing adventures because she hopes she'll get eaten along the way AND HEY, WYDOWNA, YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED, GHOUL.
