Blinkie Generator Review: blinkies.cafe • April 2, 2023

PROS: Tons of unique blinkie templates. A nice selection of fonts. Has different scale options (150x20px, 300x40px etc). It is active and has a sense of community- the makers are on tumblr, it gets updated, and there are cute features like a “recently generated” page. Very intuitive and easy to use.

CONS: cannot change the text color.

bottom line: Sweet, active website. I use it for almost all my blinkie posts. Easy to use while boasting a variety of options. Highly recommend.

PROS: has some templates I particularly like. Produces blinkies that feel very “old web”.

CONS: slow site prone to crashing. Ads take up much of the page (on mobile at least). Cannot change the font type or color. Only size option is 150x20px, which doesn’t look crisp.

bottom line: frustrating to use but works for simple, old fashioned blinkies. has some cute templates.

PROS: a number of font and color options, displays what fonts look like, you can change animation speed and direction, is regularly updated

CONS: takes some experimenting, only one line of text (about 70 characters?), won’t look like typical glitter text (but to be fair isn’t marketed as such)

bottom line: is its own unique thing. not quite glitter text. works for short text if you like its style.

PROS: more glitter options than I’ve ever seen! They even have glittery cheetah print. Can make multiple lines of text, put a photo in the background, change outline color & width, and the text size is in px. Easy to figure out.

CONS: many of the glitter animations are extremely eyestrain-y: if you’re sensitive to fast/ bright/ flashing gifs avoid this site (even if you can usually handle glitter text). The 72 pages of glitter options are not in any order, & have many repeats. The fonts are just normal computer fonts, like Arial, Times New Roman, etc. Outline width over 1px usually looks messy.

bottom line: Great site besides poor font selection. Ability to generate multiple lines makes it good for lyric posts. Be wary of extreme eyestrain in the glitter selection menu.

Glitter Text Generator Review: Picasion.com • April 3, 2023

PROS: A nice selection of glitters and fonts. Fonts are displayed, you don’t have to guess what they look like. Straightforward. Options for alignment, size, and outline width.

CONS: It crashes often. Certain characters (such as ' instead of ’) make the final result never load. The text outlines look messy, especially when you select no border. There are sites that work better all around.

bottom line: I stopped using this site because it crashes so often & I’ve found generators that work better. Works for up to three lines of text.

PROS: straightforward, good font and glitter options, option for no outline, shows what each font looks like without having to click each

CONS: preview doesn’t load as it should, doesn’t fit on phone screen, limited to one line & 35 characters

bottom line: great for very short text in a nice selection of glitter colors and fonts; looks crisp without outline.
