WebYep CMS stacks updated to version 2.4.1
Changes in this free update include:
Adds compatibility for the forthcoming WebYep 3 release, which in-turn adds support for PHP 8.
Fixes an issue whereby the 'conditional' stack could corrupt the page below itself, if the settings were not changed.

WebYep Stacks updated to version 2.3
The main change in this free update is the addition of an all-new WebYep PDF Embed stack; which uses a combination of the WebYep file uploader and short text inputs. We use jQuery Javascript to convert an ordinary download link into an iFramed PDF file embedded seamlessly into your webpage. The normal document viewer controls are shown; together with options to print, download or share the PDF.
WebYep PDF Embed works with both the free and paid versions of WebYep CMS.

What about mobile and tablet devices? Historically these types of device handle PDF files as images; meaning that the only the first page of a PDF will be shown and the remaining pages cannot be scrolled or viewed. We include some clever jQuery Javascript that will detect handheld devices and hide the PDF file. A short piece of text and a download link can be displayed for these users instead.

Introducing the updated WebYep CMS stacks
WebYep is an opensource CMS (content management system) favoured by thousands of users for its ease of setup, reliability, great multilingual support and its simplistic approach towards online editing. A perfect solution for making frequently-changed parts of a website remotely editable outside of RapidWeaver or for letting clients safely edit parts of a website themselves.
The eagerly awaited WebYep v2 has recently been released, and we have simultaneously released a brand new pack of powerful WebYep stacks. The WebYep stacks work with both the free version of WebYep and the forthcoming commercial version. The commercial version of WebYep is unbranded, with support for a REDACTOR rich text editor and file manager.
You can use WebYep in RapidWeaver without the stacks. But our stacks make the setup of editable content regions in your pages much easier. This is a friendly and flexible CMS solution for RapidWeaver, which anyone can use. WebYep is a tried and proven CMS we actively use daily in websites for our own clients.
The current pack of WebYep stacks (as of version 2.1, March 2018) includes the following:
Assistant - the main WebYep stack you add to every page
Attachment - creates file download links with customisable icons
Boolean - instantly toggle the display of page areas on and off
Calendar - populates calendar tables with events
Conditional - hides or displays content if authors are logged in
Grid - a responsive grid authors can add or remove items from
Image Gallery - responsive thumbnail grid with popup lightbox
Image - static images that can be changed by an author

Rich Text - an editable area with link and formatting buttons

Toggle - lets content authors setup accordion panels of content
Use as many or as few WebYep stacks as you want. The modular nature of this setup offers great flexibility. The loop and menu stacks are immensely powerful. Some of our other stacks like CutOut also incorporate WebYep compatibility.

PHP 5.6 (7.x or greater is better, as 5.6 is approaching end-of-life)

Announcing the updated stacks for WebYep CMS v2
After a couple of months work, I’m pleased to finally unveil the updated stacks for WebYep v2:

The WebYep stacks were formally developed by Tsooj Media. Following the acquisition last July, the stacks came over to us. In parallel to WebYep v2 being developed, we have worked hard to completely rebuild these stacks; featuring a new user interface and all new codebase. A couple of new stacks have been added to the collection too.
It’s been a lot of work to get to this stage. Many Beta builds were published on the WebYep forums, and we are grateful to everybody who downloaded these and provided feedback.
Today we’ve hit the big milestone of being able to release these updated stacks. The new product page on the Stacks4Stacks website provides a good insight into what WebYep actually is. Numerous links are provided, to help you get started.
These stacks work with both the free version of WebYep and the new commercial version that will be coming-along shortly. You’ll find WebYep simple, reliable and very cost-effective to deploy in websites. Our clients love it!
The work does not stop here. We have plans to add WebYep support to some other stacks and will continue to update these new WebYep stacks. Simply because we believe WebYep is the best CMS solution available for RapidWeaver.
