It took a while, but Echo had managed to CONVINCE him to stay at the Dollhouse when Topher’s device went off. For the first few weeks, he was cautious. Keeping his DISTANCE from everyone in case something went wrong and he snapped. After 3 months, he began to relax. His main tasks were primarily focusing on FIXING whatever was broken. Whether it be the showers, the generators, the entertainment systems, basically anything that could be OPERATED via a computer.
Reconnecting with Victor and Sierra was NICE, although he wasn’t fond of watching their son when they wanted some alone time. Kids never seemed to like him, not that he could BLAME them. He could be intimidating, even when he didn’t mean to be.
Eyes scanned over the various coding for the building as he tapped away at the keyboard. The main generator had gone offline for a brief hour or so, leaving them in DARKNESS. With the backup online, he thankfully had access to the main frame. It only took a few moments for him to RECONNECT everything. The doll leaned back in the chair when the lights came back up. Now it was a matter of what to do next. He could go to the pod room and skim through the things Topher had written, but it almost felt DISRESPECTFUL to do so without the man there.
Footsteps had him glancing over. He was RELIEVED when Echo walked into his view. So long as it wasn’t Sierra with the kid, he was good. “Everything should be GOOD to go.” Gaze briefly flickers back to the computer. “If there’s no problems with it for the week, I doubt we’ll have another ISSUE.”
