Been going nuts trying to make a palette for my wedding. Ended up reading an article from The Knot explaining that wedding colours can be broken down into three components:
Two "hero colours" that make up the bulk of the wedding.
One or two "secondary colours" for, like, linens and flowers and such.
One or two "accent colours" to pop out and give dimension to the rest.
After reading this I decided, in my insanity, to make my own palette template that incorporates this hierarchy. Behold, the Palette Wheel!
Just throw your heroes in the centre, secondaries to the outer ring, and little accent circles for the rest. Voila!
