My Life is Very Shoujo Manga, Chapter 71: Sup!

I’m sorry if my blog is really scattered in terms of timeline, but I just have to tell you about today! I’ve been wanting to try stand-up paddleboarding for the longest time, and today we finally got to try it! 

We gave it a go (without lessons 😳 other than watching half of a 5 minute Youtube tutorial), and surprisingly neither of us fell off our boards! (Honestly, if someone as uncoordinated as me can do it, I feel like this is also something most people would be able to do.)

It took me a little while to really get the hang of paddling (Tony's a natural, of course 🙄). Although my sup would slide forward, it went at a giant glacier’s pace because I thought I didn't have the energy to push forward any faster. Turns out it's easier to put your whole body into the row if you bend your legs a little. So that’s my tip for you guys, not that I’m one to be giving out advice 😂.

My darling was so patient with me, as usual; he could have glided miles ahead but he would always turn around and wait for me/paddle back to meet me and try to help me out with advice. This is why I fell in love about him, I suppose.

It was a beautiful day, and so many people brought their dogs for a paddle too. Some pups accompanied their owners on the boards; some pups swam in the water.

It was absolutely ideal weather to be at the beach today! We did a good job applying sunscreen because we didn't get burnt on our bodies. But next time we should wear hats because my hair part is a little burnt 😅!
