The tentacle inched closer to the smaller alien, the tip now glowing. Then with a raspy laugh, Divend pulled it back and tucked it behind his shoulder.
“Ah, that’s funny every time! Don’t worry, small one, I’ve already eaten today.”
His laughs petered off into sharp toothed chuckles as one of his tentacles placed itself under his own chin. He peered down, fluttering his veil back to get a better look.
“But really, I’ve never had someone be this interested hmmm? How about we talk about this somewhere not in public?”
Jirisel’s head moved to tilt back just a little more when the tip of the tentacle inched closer, the glowing visibly taking to the end now as well - which is actually a good thing, because it probably means he’s fine form where it touched his chin earlier. The appendage moves away finally and he exhales a breath he hadn’t quite been aware that he’d been holding. “Ah... ha.. yes, quite... funny.”
Their stance shifted a little with a half-step backwards, feet moving nervously as his hands come to rest on his hips to remain in the same general area they’d been in before. They’re vaguely aware of just the slightest glimpse of green from underneath the veil before it’s covered again and he offers a quiet smile. The idea of moving somewhere more private with something that could and would eat him is not an appealing one, but the idea of getting out of the public eye in general is. Both of them would probably benefit from it. Beyond that... if he can keep his distance, then perhaps he could manage to get away if worse comes to worse. “Perhaps we can. Where would you have in mind?” Their gaze shifts briefly to their surroundings before returning to the alien, not wanting to take his eye off them for too long.
