What do you do for fun?

I really enjoy spending time with my family and my friends, dancing and playing sports like basketball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.

Yes, when I was young, in basketball and more recently in football.

If you could have coffee with anyone real or fictional, who would it be?

Maybe Chakall (a famous Argentine chef). Maybe he would cook for me!

No.

What is your favorite dish to cook?

I make a different dish each time I cook. I like to cook dishes with vegetables on the side.

Do you speak any other languages?

Portuguese and some French. And I can understand a little Spanish if they speak slowly... :)

What three things do you bring with you to a deserted island?

A fishing rod, my family, games, and my guitar. Oops! There are more than three things :)

Where are you from?

Palo Alto, California.

Brooklyn or Manhattan?

As San Francisco is basically Brooklyn-West, when I’m in New York City I prefer Manhattan.

What do you do for fun?

I just bought a DJ set, so I guess you could say I annoy my neighbors.  Usually though I go for a long trail run in the hills, hit the beach, or book a flight to some remote corner of the planet.

Have you ever won a trophy?

I used to win a lot of them, but haven’t for a while. Closest thing I got to a trophy when I did an Ironman 70.3 was an IV in my arm, thanks to 100-plus degree heat and 5 hours of endurance.

If you could have coffee with anyone real or fictional, who would it be?

Thomas Jefferson.

One of my favorite bands is Tinariwen, an Algerian band of Tuareg musicians. I like all types of music, but in my car you’ll usually find Arabic beats or Bollywood hits when I’m driving 80 mph.

What is your middle name?

Edward.

Can you fake any accents?

English, pretty well.

What is your favorite dish to cook?

Chicken lasagna is one of my favorites.

Do you speak any other languages?

Spanish, and I’ve studied French, Italian, and Hindi, though I’m pretty basic in the latter three.

What three things do you bring with you to a deserted island?

A soccer ball, surf board, and a copy of Dostoevsky.

Generally things that don’t require a computer -- going out with my wife, seeing movies, and recently, a small homegrown farm! Although I also have fun with a few computer developing pet-projects I’ve been working on for over the years.

I don’t think so, at least none that I can remember.

I don’t generally stick with a favorite band for too long, but right now probably a Portuguese singer and songwriter named Pedro Abrunhosa, or U2 if going for an international band.

All kinds of grilled steaks! Always searching for new recipes.

I think the opportunities for Contactive with identity big data are really amazing and challenging. I enjoy engineering and developing complex software systems, and these are the kind of systems developed at Contactive. When I learned about what Contactive is working on, I had no doubt that I would love working here.
