But seriously. Wall window and he’s just standing there watching her when she’s facing in his direction. orz

“and eh” is definitely not encouraging. I’ve been kinda skimming the liveblog, but I didn’t realize you weren’t enjoying it?
Like, I love the interactions between Goblin and Grim Reaper and them being petty powerful beings at each other, but what I want from reincarnation stories is the acknowledgement that while the person has the same/similar soul, they AREN’T that exact person from their previous life, even if they get their memories back. So Goblin treating Sunny like his sister was eh. I would have loved him struggling with trying to separate his feelings of his sister from this stranger, but he just flat out goes and hugs her the next time he sees her.
Goblin finds out that Grim Reaper was the king that had ordered Goblin to die on the battlefield and then killed Goblin’s family and servants in front of him — the first thing Goblin does is find Grim Reaper and grab him by the throat. Grim Reaper wasn’t even sure he’d been the king in his previous life at that point! All the time they’d spent together meant nothing to Goblin, and he and Eun Tak move out the house they’d been sharing with Grim Reaper.
And from the beginning, Goblin’s goal had mostlyish been to find his bride to die, but even then he was kinda just wandering about, not expecting to find her. He does find her and then doesn’t believe her. But yeah, that seemed to be his major driving force, but then the reincarnation of his king is born and he’s like REVAAAAANGE.
The whole sword thing was super dragged out. I can see why Goblin is conflicted about finally having the chance to die but like, so many episodes flipping between ‘okay, I want to die, so pull out the sword; well I don’t want to pull out the sword [because I think I’ll become useless to you and you’ll kick me out’ and ‘all right, I’m ready to pull out the sword; wait wait, we should wait a day before you do it. ...Okay, tomorrow. ...Okay, tomorrow.’ It was the lack of communication I didn’t like since Goblin didn’t give the full details straight away, so Eun Tak would have more information to cry over each episode. As well as not liking how near the start Goblin would only treat her nice when he wanted her to take out the sword, but then ignored her when she didn’t. >_>
...And like, he DOES die, but he’s been abandoned by the deity in this place between the physical world and the afterlife. Though that might have been because he wanted to still be in the physical world in some shape like the rain or snow. And everyone’s memories of him are just erased? Because then people won’t be sad at his passing? Even though that’s basically what happened in his first death where he was declared a traitor by his king?
So, yeah, I love the humour moments and Goblin and Grim Reaper being dorks and married, but the plot? Eeeeh. I’d kinda prefer treating this series like the snapshots of regular life they had at the beginning before they tried to inject plot at the end.
And each episode is some 80 minutes long, which is a LOT of time to commit if I’m not even that interested in what’s going on.
.....
This was a hell of a lot longer than I thought it would be.

i can by now see them as a big family
YES. I totally prefer seeing them as two dads who adopted Eun Tak and the cousin/nephew. qwq
weeping-detective replied to your photo: Grim Reaper REALLY doesn’t like being touched,...
