Welcome Dance Performance | Junior Champs Play School |Annual Day PAHA...
welcoming dance by the Sri Lanka Foundation Performing Arts Center.
I'm actually really really proud of myself and what happened yestertoday. 1. I had a counseling appointment and we talked about a lot of good stuff that is really getting to the core of my issues. 2. After rescheduling, canceling, and denying the need to bring my belongings out of storage, I realized my mistake and eventually was able to bring all my things back. 3. I helped set up for the dance tonight and everything went smoothly. Even rode in a car with one of my guy friends (something that seems to be a frequent occurrence this past weekend) which is really weird for me. 4. I didn't spend the entire dance huddled in the hallway crying like I did last year. There were one or two times I had to step out because I could feel the anxiety creeping up on me. 5. I actually danced quite a bit. Sometimes alone. Sometimes with my close friends. Sometimes with random people I kinda sorta know. Even once with a guy I just met that moment during a swing song. 6. I met a lot of new people. We'll see if I can keep them straight. Making friends in the dark is hard. 7. I found a ride on my own to the traditional beach trip after party. No one else had to ask for me. 8. At the beach, I didn't hang out with any of my friends. You heard that right. I didn't hang out with any of my friends. Just new people. And a lot of new people. 9. I talked with a lot of guys. Which if you know me is really weird. But I did it. And a couple times it was really just a one-on-one conversation. 10. I also stood between, by, etc. a lot of guys. And sometimes that was pretty close. 11. I did well. I didn't freak out. I didn't cry at all tonight. I only had to step out once or twice because I was overwhelmed. I met lots of new people. And I wasn't quite as dependent on my friends. Overall, I'd say it was a pretty great night. Yay, me!
We had a high school dance, and one of the teachers kept yelling at us to spread out instead of clustering together as a group. She told us this two times, and we didn't really pay attention. So, on the third time she made us all sit down EXCEPT FOR ONE GUY. THIS ONE GUY STOOD UP. He got in trouble like .05 seconds later, but we applauded him because he was a freaking hero.
School's welcome dance was fucking shitty.. All they played was country, slow songs, and gangnam style (lmfao remix so it was stupid). Although one slow song was perfect because i was dancing with my crush to Hunter Hayes- Wanted; however my friends were giggling and teasing us.
