Been looking at lots of lycanthropy fun stuff and goddd,,,
Skizz giving all of his loved ones silver necklaces, to keep them safe. To make sure that even if he can't control himself (which he can, he knows he can, but he just,,, wants an extra fail-safe anyway), his loved ones will be safe from him. He doesn't know when the next time is that his wolf-form overrides his logical thinking. Sure, it hasn't happened to catastrophic levels since he was a kid but— he wants to be sure. Very sure. They're safe.
In the same vein, those loved ones (this is where i drift to polydads, everyone strap in <3) wearing the gifted necklaces, for a time. Even if it seems a little silly, even if Tango's never actually seen Skizz lose himself like that, even if Impulse had only heard stories way back when they were small... they can tell it's important to him. So they wear the necklaces. They can Also tell he's being a bit mean to himself, and who would they be if they didn't tease him a bit? It starts small: taking the necklace off in his sight, with his knowledge, and still keeping it close upon request. But that fades, slowly but surely. They feel safe with Skizz, necklace or not, and they trust him even if things go wrong.
The silver necklace turns from a item used to forcibly keep Skizz away — to keep him at bay and at a distance "for his own good", to being just another little gift. One they can appreciate, especially when it's across the room. The sentiment is that he loves them and wants them to be safe. The sentiment is that they trust and love him, even on his worst days. <3
ALSO: Skizz comparing himself to Ren, who's always seemed to have his act together. And who doesn't look like he ever worries about potentially hurting the people dearest to him,,,
