Took me a bit but finally answered these asks for my main Inquisitor! OC asks are by @liliamoon and are linked below!
I compiled a short list of some questions that I hadn’t seen yet to help you (and me) have some fun while developing OCs. Feel free to answe
Wesariel "Wes" Lavellan
1. On paper, Wes has no issue with the name Wesariel. However when applied to him, he is uncomfortable with it and much prefers to be called "Wes", and introduces himself as such outside of formal settings.
2. Other than the vallaslin? His good looks. Like, the man is straight up handsome, almost beautiful. And he carries himself with an easy confidence so that beauty is multiplied.
3. Wes is the kind of person who thrives when all eyes are on him, so in public he's charming, witty and engaging. In private? He becomes more thoughtful, reserved- but he likes being around people, even if they're strangers, so he's rarely alone for long.
4. Wes has never really crushed on anyone before? At least, not in the stereotypical sense. When he's around someone he's actually interested in however, he's a lot more intent with them? He listens attentively, he finds his gaze being drawn to them, and he naturally seeks out colours and things that remind him of them.
5. Their tell used to be that he would reach up and scratch his collar bone. However, years of sneaking out to villages and towns and being taught by seasoned pub gamblers has trained him out of the habit.
6. Wes would smell faintly of argan oil and sandalwood, a deep earthy smell, from the oil he uses on his hands, but when he starts to get back into metal work as an artificer he starts to also carry the smell of metal.
7. Wes has thick 2c textured hair, which is very soft with deep waves and curls.
8. He doesn't really have any significant pieces of jewellery but he does enjoy wearing it. You'll usually see him with a pair of earrings, a couple of rings on his fingers and he tends towards long necklaces. Wes likes to switch them out and up as he feels like it.
9. I wracked my brains and honestly I can't see him with any particular phrasing and such! He's quite the eloquent speaker however, a born diplomat.
10. Another hard one for me, as I'm very biased towards him, but he does have an obsession with climbing up things if that can be construed as a quality. Trees, rocks, walls, cliffs, if it's taller than him he wants to climb it and see what's from the top. To the aggravation of Dorian who's watching from below, worried to death haha!
11. Every colour. Seriously. But ironically he looks absolutely stunning in white (not technically a colour but it makes him glow, what can I say?).
12. To his friends, his shows his love by listening. He always asks how they are, listens to them as they talk about their day, their worries, and offers advice when he feels it's appropriate, otherwise tries to make them laugh and smile. Romantically, he shows his affection much the same but he's free with his words as well, always affirming that he loves them and flirting with them, complimenting them.
13. Wes is a fan of eye contact when talking with someone new, as it reassures him that someone is listening to him and makes him feel listened to in return. It takes a bit for him to get used to not making eye contact with others as he meets more people who aren't comfortable with it. But if he's close with someone, he feels the need for eye contact far less.
14. Wes is actually a pretty even mix of his parents. He has his mothers eyes and hair, whilst he has his father's face structure and build. He also has his father's smile and gets his nose from his mother's side. (Together they made a beautiful child 🥺)
15. Wes' greatest strength is his patience and his open heart. He accepts others, no matter their flaws, if their intentions are good, and forgives others easily when they make mistakes. This however does connect to his greatest weakness, rather than a flaw- he takes too much onto himself. He takes the world onto his shoulders, so much so that you could call it a hero complex, and it will crush him if he's not careful (Tresspasser dlc I'm looking at you...).
16. A fun one! So, Wes had a very strained relationship with his mother as a teenager, and he was so very Fifteen Years Old. She is the keeper of the clan, and more often than not would put her responsibilities before him growing up. In a rebellious bid to feel more independent from her, he used to sneak out to the local towns and villages whenever the clan would camp close to one- it's these experiences with humans and other races growing up that inadvertently made him more worldly and fostered his accepting and open nature as an adult.
