Especially with Sebek, Ortho and Epel.

Ortho is in Royal Sword Academy! His design will be revealed later as I want to make him a full body reference. For the others though...

Switching to Comic Format?

Not Saying this is 100% gonna happen, but how would y'all feel about the main story switching to a comic format? Just a passing thought.

Earth Human Skin Patterns & Blaschko's Lines Updated Information

Hey guys! Over the course of developing the AU, I've mentioned on several occasions that the twst folk can see our human "stripes", or Blascko's lines. However, I definitely didn't do enough research on this, as it turns out that these stripes likely don't actually exist on most people, and are instead the result of genetic skin diseases or mutations. The sources I had used to base these posts on weren't credible, and I deeply apologize for spreading misinformation. I'll dedicate myself to doing better in the future.

However, I do still believe the twst folk can see unique skin details or markings on our skin, due to their larger color spectrum, so all previous mentions of the stripes will now be referring to non-mutation specific details like subtle freckles, hyperpigmentation, birthmarks, and other invisible markings that we cannot see.

Investigation

Shiyuu should have done this sooner, really.

One instance was nothing. So his eyesight got better, so what? Maybe healing magic has something to do with it.

Two was a coincidence. He couldn’t really explain the heightened hearing, but surely his instincts were wrong this time.

Three and four…whatever. He could taste specific ingredients in the food he eats and identify them. He could pick up on scents from further away than before (what was he, a dog?).

Then the magic resistance came in. THAT could not be a coincidence. This had never happened before. Not even during the interdorm spelldrive tournament, nor winter break, nor…Malleus’s meltdown.

What had even happened?

So Shiyuu found himself in the library once again, scanning the shelves for any information.

Magicless people suddenly gaining magic…was that even really possible? Or was it a growing immunity from being in this world for so long?

His hand halts on the cover of an old book, looking to be neglected. In the very back shelf, in the very back corner, in the very bottom row.

The Legend of the Harmonious Six.

Feeling drawn to it, Shiyuu pulls it off of the shelf and walks off to a table.

Long, long ago, in the early ages of magic, six friends had acquired something known as the ‘Elements of Harmony’. Empathy, Altruism, Optimism, Integrity, Courage, and…Harmony itself. They used these powers, harnessed by gems similar to magestones, to help anyone in need. Friendship problems, life advice, negotiations, they were on top of it.

However…these six were eventually able to unlock the secrets to interdimensional travel. They sought to help those in other worlds as well as their own. No longer having friends or family in their old world, they parted with Twisted Wonderland and entered a special mirror to travel. Though, the mirror had broken behind them…and they were never to return again.

Stories say that they had developed their own lives inside of that other world, eventually having children of their own. Then those children had children, and so on and so forth. They had passed down their elements of harmony as family heirlooms.

Someday, the descendants of these Six may return to this world. But, no one knows if these legends are true.

But that is the story of the Harmonious Six…

Shiyuu closes the book, stunned by what he’d read.

Six friends…gemstones…interdimensional travel…

He looks down at the brooch on his blazer. He doesn’t remember how he got it…but it was already there when he woke up in that coffin earlier in the year. It’s…strange, to say the least.

“…I’ll…think about this later…”

He needs some time to process all of this.
