These gerygones are found in forests and woodlands in a spotty range across Australia. They mostly feed on insects and arachnids, including beetles, ants, and spiders, which they catch in the air or pluck from the outer foliage of trees and shrubs. Pairs build hanging oval or pear-shaped nests from grass, bark, and spiderwebs. Both parents care for the chicks.
