I know all I post lately are #bookmail posts. All I do lately is order books! I feel so behind on so many things that I have a hard time giving myself permission to read. But this one I will definitely dig into. I was thinking of ways to connect with my dad, and I decided to propose a buddy read. I wrote him a letter with the proposal and three suggested topics we could read about. He chose Reconstruction, as we both participated in a reading group about the Civil War recently, and at the end Reconstruction was one of the topics most of the people in our group wanted to know more about. So I compiled a list of books about Reconstruction and sent it over and he chose this one. My copy just arrived today and I am VERY interested, but we haven’t determined our reading schedule yet so I should not dive in just yet! . .
