west coast to mid coast celebrations
last weekend was THE perfect weather for a perfect celebration of two really fantastic people! since this amazing couple relocated to Chicago from California, the warm temps made the city that much more welcoming to my bride and groom. Ashley + Scott made it official surrounded by an intimate group of beloved friends and family in Chicago's Greek Town. Before they said "I do", the two joined me on a little tour d' photographic force around the city. Dodging the weekend revelers ( see, "How Chicago does St. Patrick's day, even for the non-Irish) we headed west of the Chicago River and into the ever evolving West Loop, Fulton Market and West Fulton districts for varying cityscape + stellar urban lines. Ashley's sweet, knee length party dress was the perfect version of a wedding gown for this long, lean and gorgeous gal. Scott rocked the classic black on white Don Draper look and was a champ with all my crazy directives!! My favorite portion of wedding day coverage is creating these perfectly fitting portraits for my clients. The whole day is full of super sweet moments and capturing the storyline is key but the effectively lit and styled portrait is hands down my personal favorite thing to orchestrate.
