Poster Challenge

This week we played around with different concepts for movie posters for "West". We've gone two very different routes, and produced two posters that we're pretty proud of. One is a traditional, photographic style poster.  The other is a throwback to the thirties, graphic style poster. 

Both posters go live at cinecoup.com/west on the Off The Wall mission tab tomorrow night at 9:00 EST. Head on over there to check them out! 

For tonight, we have one image from the poster creation that didn't make it into the mission this week. Our artist, Trevor Smith (whom you may remember from the "Cheap Tricks" video last week), doesn't like to do his art in his office...

Mission One: The Pitch

Tonight we release our first mission as part of the Cinecoup Film Accelerator. We're excited to share with you some footage from behind the scenes, and insight into the world of the National Pictures team.

Inspiration from Mr. Roger Corman

Roger Corman was featured recently on The Criterion Collection. They published a list of films produced by Mr. Corman - a b movie producer who launched a slew of great directors and actors like Scorsese and Nicholson. 

Check it out here!

Corman was famous for producing films that were done quickly, and for cheap. Many of his films were a launching pad for a lot of house hold names today: James Cameron, Ron Howard, and many more. 

Roger Corman is an inspiration on producing great films with a quick turn around, and on an independent filmmaker's budget.

West Trailer Goes Live!

This has been an exciting week for us. Cinecoup launched their site last night and our trailer went live!

We want to take pause before this and thank all of the amazing people that have helped us down this road thus far.

We have a group of fans that are super awesome, sharing, liking and commenting on our work.

We’ve had actors volunteer their time, in near arctic conditions, to shoot with us.

We’ve had a crew of amazingly talented, dedicated, and patient people to work with along the way.

We have amazingly supportive families that have been a big part of West from the time that it was just an idea.

We couldn’t have released the trailer tonight without the help of all of these amazing people. You rock!

Thanks for joining us along the journey this far. Stay tuned and hold on. It’s about to get awesome.
